YOU PULL ME IN

I was a little lost soul winding out of control
I needed some direction
I was afraid of the lights I was afraid of the nights
I needed some protection
Then you saw me sinking in an ocean of despair
Wrapped a line around my heart and never let me go

I was slowing my pace I was losing the race
I need a gentle shove
I kept spinning my wheels trying to borrow or steal
Or beg for just a little love
then you found me cast upon an island of despair
No one else was close to me and suddenly you’re there

You pull me in… You pull me in to your heart
You pull me in… You pull me in to your heart

I was a little lost soul buried deep in the hole
Looking for illumination
Felt the pressure to win every fight I was in
Forever running out of patience
Then you wrapped your lifeline round the man that went astray
Casting all my fears aside to find a better way

When I get to far from the comfort of your love
You pull me in and never let me go
